Jaguar Portable Reel-To Reel
Recorder, 1960's
The Jaguar Portable Reel-To Reel Recorder in the 1960's was one of many
hundreds of different reel-to-reel portable transistor tape recorder models
that hit the market place in the 1960's when everything electronic started
using transistors instead of tubes. Transistors, of course; gave everything
the ability to get much smaller. The was a good desktop unit that could
be carried with you. As you can see from the phone, this acquirement for
the Spy And Private-Eye Museum is in like-new condition. We don't think
that this unit was ever used since the mic and earphone was never taken
out of it's plastic packaging.
