National Tape Recorder, 1960s
The National Recorder, made by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., LTD
in the 1960's; was a high end recorder. It came with a telephone recording
attachment that was a suction cup microphone. This recorder was considered
a portable tape recorder for it's time and came with a carrying case and
shoulder strap. It was used by news reporters, law firms and invesigators
to record interviews. You could also record telephone conversations. Below
are close up photos. As you can see from the photos, this recorder is
in new-like condition which is rare.
