Micro
Minifon Clandestine Spy Wire Recorder with Wristwatch Microphone
This 1952 recorder that recorded to wire was state-of-the-art for it's
time. It was used by almost all governmental spy agencies and private
investigators jumped at the change to own one if you could afford one.
This model was smaller that the first Minifons and designed for spying
and law enforcement use. The actual recorder was small enough to be hidden
under a business suite coat or trench coat. A wire would run down one's
arm to the microphone which was built into the watch. The recorder Dimensions
were 7" x 4.5" x 1.5". Below are some more close up photos.
