
Telegraph Cipher, Pinkertons
National Detective Agency, 1895
Pinkertons National Detective Agency published a telegraph cipher to be
used by members of the American Bankers Association which was one of the
agency's major clients to report crime to them. The above is a photo out
of a published book that Pinkertons National Detective Agency developed
that was mailed to every member of the American Bankers Association. Note
the different ciphers used to indicate a specific crime as well as the
